What FOB Is
FOB is resistance training built around a weight that keeps moving. It hangs from an elastic band, and you swing it. As it travels and changes direction, you have to keep adjusting your position, your timing, and how hard you pull.
A dumbbell only moves when you move it. This one keeps going. That is the whole difference.
The Four Parts
- FOBallastThe moving weight. You can see it travel, and that is what makes the resistance shift.
- FOBandThe elastic band. It connects everything and stretches as the weight moves.
- AnchorThe fixed point it all pulls against, usually a fence or gate.
- YouThe engine. You start the swing, keep it going, and stop it.
All four work together. Change any one of them and the training changes.
Why It Exists
Most training uses weight that stays put. Same direction, same demand, every rep. FOB asks something different: can you stay in control while the pull keeps changing? That is a skill, and it can be trained.
